givesahand: (eheheh)
Uwaaaah~! I totally missed out on some things, didn't I? Talk about a rude awakening when I got out of bed to see a huge statue rampaging through the city! Though it isn't even half as bad as Hayato-chan's spontaneous yelling on the network.

[Of course, deep down, Sayaka's actually frustrated and pretty enraged at what happened to the city, but she masks it all with a smile. Her smile becomes even more harder to maintain as she gives the next bit of information:]

Aah, speaking of which, if anyone has any business with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart... Just give up! I missed out on a bunch of lessons, so I tried calling him to sort things out... And whaddaya know? He's not on the list anymore!

[She waves a small stack of papers at the camera: handwritten sheet music. Sayaka laughs sheepishly, her smile beginning to falter.]

Oh man, and I already finished this too. What a bummer. Who's gonna review my magnum opus now? Ah well. Life's always unfair. I learned that the hard way.
givesahand: (IS THIS MOE?!)
[The house that Sayaka had been staying at has finally become liveable again, which is always good news. The bad news, she's found some of her old stuff that she had to leave behind while escaping the flood. She's currently kneeling down and staring dejectedly at a violin on the floor that is far too soaked to be saved. She sighs.]

I really should have seen this coming. But...

[Cue Sayaka taking a deep breath, then clenches her head as she proceeds to freak the fuck out. You might want to cover your ears for this one:]

OH MY GOOOOOOOOD! VIOLIN-CHAN, NOOOOOO! OH, THE HUMANITY!
givesahand: (KIIIIIIIII!)
[Sayaka had been thinking for a while, after seeing Mami train and then fight monsters with her at the coliseum. She had been devoting herself to her music lessons, but she realized that she had been neglecting her magical girl duties. After all, a magical girl was supposed to be a hero of justice! She couldn't just forget about it like that.

Plus, without Kyuubey or the Witches... she could have a little more fun with it. The first line of business for her magical girl training crash course:]

... I need to have something to say when I transform to make it more dynamic.

[Yeah. Transformation quotes are always top priority. Sayaka pauses to think deeply for a moment, before coming up with a line. She tries it on for size:]

TRANSFORMATION, HOOOOOOOO! [She trails off, and frowns. That was... horrible.] Nah.

[More thinking! She should use something more eloquent, maybe add a few more words in!]

Uh... Blade and light, cape and knight! CLASH! Swordsman Special Puella Magi Transformation! [Pause. Another frown.] That's too much, and it doesn't even make any sense.

[Ponder ponder ponder. Maybe she should do something more classic, like in those anime shows she watched way back when...]

Sword Soul Gem Power, make-up! Beauty in Blue! [Her expression that followed that line was almost akin to gagging.] Ugh, it just isn't me.

[Some more thinking... Okay! Then how about the modern route?]

Puella Magi Sayaka, target locked on! [The resulting frown on her face indicates she's become more annoyed than before.] That... wouldn't really work, since I'm more of a close range fighter.

[Thinking, more thinking... Maybe if she just changed the last part into something more aggressive...]

Puella Magi Sayaka, breakin' through!
[Pause.] Even though it feels like I'm on the right track, I think that line might have been used by someone else before...

[More thinking... More pondering... After several minutes, she grips her head with her hands with a frustrated grunt.]

... Uuuuuurgh! Darn it, I can't think of anything that would make me look cool!
givesahand: (being meguca is suffering)
[The video feed turns on to show the view of Sayaka's room, her back turned towards the camera. In her hands were a violin and its bow, and her stance indicated that she was playing something, which some may recognize as Schubert's Ave Maria. Mozart's lessons and her nearly obsessive practicing seemed to pay off; Though there were a few mistakes here and there, she seemed to be managing. There was a hint of sadness in the melody, but that was to be expected when you wanted to hang out with you best friend, only to find that they've disappeared all of a sudden.

Sayaka stops playing and lowers her violin. She hangs her head as she tries to fight back tears, still not yet realizing that she was being recorded.]

... Madoka...
givesahand: ([Mahou] broken smile)
Warnings: Some Madoka Magica spoilers, little girls going crazy
Effects: A sense of nostalgia, then fear, followed by the pain of despair from losing everything

"If I wish for it hard enough... All the pain will go away!" )
-------------

[Sayaka rises from her bed quickly, the sound of Rachmaninoff's Vocalise playing on her radio calming her nerves. Sighing, she reaches towards her nightstand to press the stop button, but notices her Dreamberry recording. She gives the camera a very tired smile.]

... Hey, even the happiest of people can have bad dreams. I'm no exception. Anyway, don't you think it's kinda rude to be spying on other people? Especially a girl so young? Iyaaaa~n, how shameless.

[Despite not feeling her best at all, she still attempted to make a joke out of it. She knows that her housemates, as well as the other magical girls, could see this, but... At this point, she didn't care enough to filter.

Oh, speaking of which...]

Wait, actually, that reminds me... Does anyone know where I can learn to play the violin? I started taking piano lessons a few weeks ago, but... let's just say that didn't work out very well.
givesahand: (You're trying to be a dude magnet!)
wangst that is irrelevant to actual video post )

[A young girl wearing a school uniform, no older than fourteen, appears on the screen, pretty deep in thought.]

So, this place is called Somarium, huh? No need to explain anything. I pretty much got the gist of the whole thing, though I'm still having a hard time believing it...

[She grins, waving to the screen, her words brimming with energy.]

Anyway, howdy! I'm Sayaka! Miki Sayaka, to be precise. Nice to meet you all, neighbors! Though I pretty much got all the techy stuff about this place down, I'd really like to get a tour around and get to know the place a bit better. After all, I'm gonna be stuck here a while, right? I better know where everything is... especially the music stores!

Oh, yeah. AND ALL YOU GUYS OUT THERE! If you've seen a cute little girl with pink hair tied into twintails, don't you dare try to put the moves on her! You're a billionty years too early if you think that I'll simply hand over Madoka to any of you!

[With that, she points at the camera triumphantly.]

Ma~! Do~! KA~!! Don't think I don't know you're there! You better not be trying to become an cross-dimensional dude magnet while I wasn't looking!  After all, you're gonna be my future wife! ♥

[Filters, what are those? Sayaka actually knows, but she'd like Madoka not to be suspicious about her by goofing off.]
