[The house that Sayaka had been staying at has finally become liveable again, which is always good news. The bad news, she's found some of her old stuff that she had to leave behind while escaping the flood. She's currently kneeling down and staring dejectedly at a violin on the floor that is far too soaked to be saved. She sighs.]

I really should have seen this coming. But...

[Cue Sayaka taking a deep breath, then clenches her head as she proceeds to freak the fuck out. You might want to cover your ears for this one:]

OH MY GOOOOOOOOD! VIOLIN-CHAN, NOOOOOO! OH, THE HUMANITY!

[Still, Loliconzaku should know better than to barge into a little girls room, okok. :| She suddenly becomes a bit more serious once she hears his suggestion.]

No. [Her response is abrupt and without hesitance.] I'll just save up the money on my own... I'm not one to have people solve my problems for me.

[SHE DOESN'T WANT ANYONE'S PITY HDU. :| Sayaka stands up, brushing the dust off her skirt, and looks straight at him.]

... Times are tough right now, right? Seeing someone act like a big idiot over the network will make some people forget that, even if only for a little bit.

[She chuckles.] To be honest, I didn't expect anyone to offer help. I can see why Madoka liked you so much.

[ doesn't look away as she stands. the comment about times being rough gets a little bit of a nod out of him again; if she's aware of that, and was doing something to take people's minds off of it- well, he can accept that. for now. ]

I see. How kind and thoughtful of you. [ he really does mean it, lips tugging into a half-smile.

he blinks when she mentions Madoka liking him (because he's not the type of guy that she should be liking- reluctant murderers and innocent girls never mix well). and then there's a bit of a blank look. ] Why wouldn't anyone offer to help? That's what you do when you see someone who needs help; you help them, even if times are hard. [ that's what he thinks, at least. he doubts it matters, though, and looks off to the side then as if in thought. ]

Are you waiting for her to come back? [ ... ] Madoka, I mean.

I guess. She's a lot safer here than back home. Then again, if she does come back, I'm worried about the reason behind it...

[Her expression darkens.]

... Kururugi, do you mind if I tell you something personal? It's something you can't tell anyone. Not even Mami-san.

Perhaps. Maybe she'll live through a little more of her life, and then wake again in this dream.

[ ooon second thought, maybe not.

but, a curious look then, subdued only by a blink. ] I don't mind at all; and, I won't tell anyone. [ sort of... wondering now... ]

Back in my world, I'm... dead. [The word tasted bitter when it went through Sayaka's mouth.] Even though Mami-san isn't aware of it, she is too.

[A tired sigh.]

I guess what I'm saying is... Even though I wish Madoka was here, at the same time I don't want her to be here. Because... It might mean that she was killed.
